Zwaagdijk is a long ribbon village north east of Hoorn, in the municipality of Medemblik. Relatively many residents work in agriculture or technical trades.
Outdoor work means boots and safety shoes, and those are made to protect rather than to spread pressure. A hard sole passes on every step, resulting in callus and cracked heels.

First have the hard callused rim removed, then moisturise every evening with a urea cream.
