Every treatment starts the same way: the foot is cleansed and disinfected. That is not only a matter of hygiene, it also makes the skin easier to assess. Under a layer of dust, cream or dirt you simply see less.
While Patty cleans, she looks at the position of your foot, at where the callus sits, at the colour of the nails and at spots that are redder or thicker than the rest. Whatever stands out, she discusses with you before anything happens.
At the end of the treatment the foot is disinfected once more, after removing callus and treating complaints. So every treatment starts and ends clean.
Sharp tools are used on skin that spends all day inside a shoe. Working cleanly is not an extra but the basis.
The location of the callus often shows exactly where the pressure lies. That is the start of all footwear advice.
On the day of your appointment, avoid thick cream and remove nail polish so everything can be assessed properly.
