A corn is essentially callus with a point. On one small spot so much pressure builds up that the hardened skin grows inwards, like a cone. That cone presses on the tissue underneath, which is exactly why a corn can cause such a stabbing pain with every step.
Patty removes the corn. The pressure is gone immediately afterwards and you often notice the difference straight away when walking. Then we look at the cause together: a shoe that pinches, a toe that sits crookedly, or a seam that presses on exactly that spot.
A corn that is left alone rarely gets better by itself. Medicated corn plasters are also risky, because the acid does not distinguish between the corn and the healthy skin around it.

Everything you want to know about the corn treatment.
Because the hardened skin grows inwards and presses on the tissue underneath. Every step pushes it in further.
Preferably not. The acid in those plasters also affects the healthy skin around it and can cause a wound. With diabetes or reduced circulation they are not recommended.
If the pressure point remains, yes. That is why Patty always looks at footwear and the position of the foot as well.
It is included in the standard treatment. Separately as a short treatment of up to thirty minutes it costs €28.50.
No. Removing the hardened tissue itself is barely noticeable; what you feel afterwards is mostly relief.
Choose shoes with enough width and toe room, alternate your footwear and keep the skin supple with a nourishing cream.
