Westerblokker is the part of Blokker that falls within the municipality of Hoorn, with the old ribbon along the main road and newer housing behind it.
It is a village where people garden and cycle. Garden clogs and boots are practical but give little support; on a tiled path or in a greenhouse the ball of the foot notices that, and the body answers with extra callus.
From Westerblokker you are at the Botter in Hoorn in a few minutes. A home visit in Westerblokker is also possible, for €5 on top of the practice rate (excluding travel costs).
Garden clogs are handy but give little support. Alternate with a shoe that encloses the heel and has a cushioned sole, certainly if you stand on a tiled path or in a greenhouse for long. That reduces callus more than any care product.
